8 days Vietnam Holiday Package Mekong Delta – Con Dao island

Day 1 : Ho Chi Minh Arrival

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and check into your hotel.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City Tour (B, L)

Soak up the atmosphere with a guided tour of Ho Chi Minh City including Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post office, War Remnants Museum, Giac Lam Pagoda, China Town with ancient pagodas and temples and bustling Binh Tay Market. 

 Day 3 :  Ho Chi Minh City – Cao Dai temple – Cu Chi tunnels (B,L)               

Saigon travel driver and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive to Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh to observe the midday service. Cao Daism is a combination of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and Christianity. After lunch, we will visit Cu Chi Tunnels – the well-known base during US – Vietnam War. Back to hotel.

Overnight stay in Saigon

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B,L)

Saigon travel driver and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel, and transfer to Ben Tre where we take a boat trip on the Mekong River to Coconut Islet. Enjoy a brief walk on the islet, trying native fruits and viewing local handicraft production. Continue by boat to Tan Thach Commune to visit a family-run enterprise making coconut candy. walk along the village up to Quoi Son to visit a bee farm and to enjoy tea & candies. After lunch with sample the local delicacy, Elephant’s Ear Fish. you will have a boat ride to My Tho, where our vehicle is waiting for  transfer to Can Tho for the night.

 Day 5: Can Tho – Con Dao island (B,L)

You will get up early to catch bustling Cai Rang Floating Market. During market hours (best at 4am to 8am), larger sized boats anchor and create lanes that smaller boats weave in and out of. The waterway becomes a maze of hundreds of boats packed with mango, bananas, papaya, pineapple, and even smuggled goods like cigarettes. Reach the Cai Rang floating market, you will have a great chance to capture beautiful pictures, see business happening among boats. After the market, you will trip along the river bank and down cannel to see daily life of locals. After that, visit Can Tho local market, the garden, local activities of fishing, rice working, plugging part in the family, chat with locals and visit  Khmer monastery before transfer to the airport for catching flight to Con Dao Island. Check in hotel on arrival. Overnight stay in Con Dao.

 Day 6 : Con Dao island (B)

Free on your own leisure. Overnight stay in Con Dao.

 Day 7 : Con Dao island (B,D)

After breakfast, take a boat ride to Bay Canh islet, snorkeling and admire colorful coral. Picnic on Islet. Then enjoy a trek through the magical, time-forgotten mangrove forests characteristic of Southern Vietnam, and discover beautiful coral reefs by snorkeling at low tide. Swimming and snorkeling at Bay Canh Beach. Back to your hotel. Overnight in Con Dao.

 Day 8:   Con Dao – Ho Chi Minh City    (B)

Transfer to airport for boarding flight returning to HCMC (11 am – 12 noon).
